FAQs

If you cannot find the answer to your question, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am happy to answer your queries. Just email counsellingwithkasia@gmail.com

1. What happens in a counselling session?

Counselling is a supportive, confidential space where we explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and patterns. Sessions are tailored to your needs — whether you're dealing with grief, relationship challenges, anxiety, or personal transitions. Online sessions take place via WhatsApp (with video) or Google Meet, so we can see each other and maintain a close, authentic connection. It works just like in a private practice – you receive complete mindfulness, presence, and a safe space to talk.

2. How do you integrate life coaching and mindfulness into counselling?

I blend traditional counselling with elements of coaching and mindfulness. That means we explore your inner world while also building practical tools, awareness and direction. Mindfulness helps you stay present; coaching supports you in moving forward with clarity.

3. What should I expect from the first session?

Our first session is a gentle introduction. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how you'd like to work together. It’s also a space to ask any questions and see if the approach feels right for you.

4. How should I prepare for a counselling session either online or face-to-face?

No special preparation is needed. Just come as you are. You might want to have water, a quiet and private space, if the session is online, and perhaps a notebook to reflect afterwards.

5. What is a sound bath, and how does it work?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you're “bathed” in sound vibrations from instruments like crystal bowls, gongs or chimes. These sounds help calm the nervous system, deepen relaxation and support emotional release.

6. How do I prepare for a sound bath session (individual or group)?

Wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel cosy (blanket, pillow, eye mask). For group sessions, arrive a few minutes early to settle in. Hydration is key before and after the session. No prior experience is needed — just an open heart.

7. Are sound baths part of the counselling sessions?

Sound can be gently integrated into counselling if it feels supportive for you. I may use short guided meditations or sound moments to help regulate emotions and reconnect with the body.

8. What’s the difference between individual and group sound baths?

Individual sessions are tailored to your emotional and energetic state. Group sessions offer a shared collective experience and are more structured. Both are deeply restorative and accessible to everyone.

9. Can I combine counselling and sound healing?

Yes. My practice is integrative and holistic — meaning we can blend modalities based on your needs. Some clients benefit from talking therapy one week, and restorative sound the next. We’ll co-create what works best for you.

10. What is hypnotherapy, and how can it help me?

Hypnotherapy is a gentle yet powerful way to access the subconscious mind, where many of our deeply rooted beliefs and emotional patterns reside. By entering a state of focused relaxation, we can work together to dissolve internal blocks, ease anxiety, and transform limiting thoughts into empowering ones. It is a safe and effective tool for anyone looking to create lasting change, build self-confidence, or navigate personal transitions at a deeper level.

11. Can hypnotherapy be combined with my regular counselling sessions?

Absolutely. My approach is holistic and flexible, meaning we can integrate hypnotherapy into your ongoing counselling journey or keep it as a standalone practice. Some clients find it helpful to use traditional talk therapy to explore their feelings and then use hypnotherapy to reinforce those insights on a subconscious level. We will always discuss and choose the path that feels most supportive and aligned with your needs at any given time.

12. What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed or late cancellations may incur a full session fee. Life happens — just reach out as soon as you can.
